TREATMENTS
Note about the meaning and scope of the word "treatment"
Treatment is the provision of an intervention to cure or manage a medical disorder. It means the same thing as the word "therapy".
Treatment is not the same thing as a cure. Current medical treatments for many disorders, including hypertension, diabetes, kidney problems, HIV, and many other chronic conditions, are controlled rather than cured by medications.
The treatments offered at this practice are not alternatives to medications or other conventional medical treatments. They may be the primary (main) treatment in some conditions, e.g. anxiety-based behavioural problems, or whenever administered alone. More often than not, however, the treatments at this practice are adjunctive treatments, which work alongside other primary treatments, and contribute to control of disease.
